One week closer :)

I finally feel like I am getting over the bronchitis, Thank God!

D and I went to AC for a couple of days to spend some time away from IF and just relax. It was so nice. We slept, gambled, walked on the board walk and celebrated V day. So glad we decided to go.

In IVF news, I've started my 3rd week on BCP and will be adding Lupron to the mix on 2/22. D and I went to Cor.nell for our IVF class and the nurse was so informative and sweet. They went through a powerpoint about the entire process and then we watched a video on giving the injections (yikes!). After the video, the nurse brought out a dummy and went over the injections again and then gave us a DVD to take home with more instructions. I think we've got it covered :) I'm still freaked out about the PIO :(

After the class we got to meet with our IVF nurse to go over our protocol again. She faxed our IVF med needs to the fertility pharmacy our insurance is requiring us to use and now we wait for them to call me. She mapped out our calendar and it looks like our ER and ET will happen the week of St. Patrick's and St. Joseph's Days, I'm taking this to be a good sign :)

Nothing else really to report. Trying to stay hopeful and doing my IF meditations (which are actually relaxing).

Yay! I'm sorry insurance is being a pain, but atleast they are covering something! I feel so bad for everyone who has to do PIO, I was lucky and had super messy suppositories!

I promise, the PIO shots are not as bad as the anticipation. ;) I am so excited for you -- you're moving forward!

Oh my gosh. I'm so so excited for you guys. And don't stress about the PIO. Once you start doing it it doesn't seem to bad since it is all for the baby. That feeling will make you suck it up. Oh and if you are really scared ask for EMLA cream. It is a mix of lidocain and some other numbing stuff. I would put it on 45 minutes before the PIO shot and then couldn't feel a thing. Sometimes it would hurt after the injection (you can feel the oil sometimes), but the shot itself feels like nothing.

Glad to hear you guys had a nice time in AC :)

Hey, you're a wk closer and have saints involved in March, so good reasons to keep the faith.

Hi .. I'm just checking in to say hello and that I hope all is well!!! I am keeping everything crossed and wishing you great happiness and success. When I went for the class I scheduled the saline sono for the same day. I took a "mild" sedative because I had heard that it might help with possible cramping. Well, the saline sono was a breeze, but I kept DOZING OFF during the teach class. God knows what the nurses thought of me!@#%$% Don't stress about the PIO ... it really won't be bad. Bacioni - Enza
