Our journey is to your right :)
It's been a rough couple of weeks. D took his cousin's passing really hard and it was just so sad. Thank God his wife is holding up well but I have a feeling she was heavily medicated at the wake/funeral, considering she just had her kidney removed and left the hospital the same day as wake.
We're still in a holding pattern and I am procrastinating and haven't set up an appt. yet with new RE. I really don't want to think about anything until we come back from vacation (which will be from 9/4 - 9/18). At the same time, I'm sure I will need to get some testing done and I will need an HSG (never had one b/c we were MF and didn't need working tubes to do IVF). Get on my case and make me call the dr. please.
I'm just so looking forward to vacation, it is going to be so great to get away. I can't wait for our couple's massage :) Any Vegas recs? restaurants, shows, etc. The other times I have been were for bachelorette parties so I need some more couple-y type things to do.
A couple of AW updates :)
~ down 15 lbs
~ I have completed my goal of reading 50 books in 2009 - I am now shooting for 100. If you have any suggestions feel free to leave them when you comment.

Hey Worms (it's k8enewlywed) !!!! I haven't been posting over on TTTC much b/c I made a ticker and don't want to offend people. I know it's too soon for a ticker but I couldn't help myself!
Congrats on the 15 pounds that is so great!
You read all your books? awesome! Any recommendations? I just bought Hope in a Jar. Also the shopolic author wrote a new one that is called 20s girl but is about a ghost so I am unsure of it.
Have fun on vacation and I hope your new RE has some answers!!!! GL!!!!
I'm sorry about D's cousin passing. That is so sad. I hope the family heals quickly.
Sorry you have had a hard time lately.
As for Vegas, I recommend seeing Mystere, definitely my favorite of the Cirque shows. I also recommend the Mexican restaurant in Treasure Island and the Wolfgang Puck restaurant in the MGM. Both are really good. Enjoy yourselves!
Definitely make the appointment for your HSG. I had one before we were diagnosed with MFI. It supposedly increases your odds for a pregnancy, so maybe you can get it in before your next IUI- whenever that might be.
Woo hoo for Vegas! I REALLY recommend the show LOVE at the Mirage. It's Cirque Du Soleil, and it is AMAZING!
Books that I recommend are: The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and Bag of Bones by Stephen King.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!
Hey there,
So glad you are concentrating on your vacation. You guys need a good mental break from all that you've been dealing with lately. And Vegas is the perfect spot for that. I wish we could come join you guys. : )
I am so bad in that I can never remember the names of places to recommend them to people. But I can describe. There is a restaurant out in front of the Paris Casino/Hotel that has an awesome view of the Bellagio. Think about the final scene from Ocean's 11. The cool water show. That is what you'll get to see while dining. And the food is yummy too.
We also really liked the brunch at Ceasar's. Yummy yummy.
You can deal with the HSG and all that when you get home. For now, just concentrate on you and D.
I'm sure it will cheer him up to see you in a bikini at the pool in your hot new 15lb lighter body. ; )
Congrats on your blogoversary, weight loss and completed goal of 50 books. My suggestion is The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan. It will make you laugh out loud and cry. GREAT book.

I just saw your post on all the loss you guys have suffered lately. I'm so sorry to hear about all of them. I will pray for you and your hubby and for the families of those who passed.
As for you, great job on the 15 lb weight loss. Thats great.
Wow! You do have a lot going on! But on the plus side you have managed weight loss, holiday plans, and reading despite current worries! Good on you for that!
Hmmm....reading recommendations? Well always pushing the authors of my homeland as I do, I'd say (if you like historical fiction) Kate Grenville's 'The Secret River' a brilliant former Booker Prize shortlisted title.
Hi, found you on TTTC and we just recently found out about my H's azoo. I'm really liking your blog, can't find too many dealing with azoo.
I love to read! Trying for 100 in 2009, have you read "The Time Traveler's Wife"? So good!
Call the doc for an hsg!!!
I hope you have a great time on vacation. I have never been to Vegas so I cannot be of any help as for suggestions.
Great work on the 15 pounds!!!!
As for books, you have read many of the same ones I did. I really liked the Dresden files by Jim Butcher.
Whoa 50 books already! That's great. Couple of recommendations: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts (best book i ever read) and The Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh. Hope you have a great vacation!!
Wow 50 books! COngrats! I've been reading a lot too, but nothing of substance... just fun trashy stuff... brain candy... hehehe

I'm sorry for your loss and that you are going through such a rough time.
A vacation is always a good distraction... I'm sorry I don't have any recommendations for vegas... I've never been.
Hang in there sweetie! I hope you guys have an awesome vacation...you so absolutely deserve to have that. As for books...I just started the Handmaid's Tale and it's pretty good so far.
I stay far away from Vegas, but my husband recommends Roy's for some very tasty and interesting food.
I'd suggest you call the RE now because there's a good chance you won't get an appointment for several months.
Happy ICLW!
Hope you have a wonderful vacation and huge congrats on the weight loss.
Since you obviously love to read so much, you should come by and sign up for my 2009 book challenge.
