Back from IVF consult

It went well and I feel like less of a spaz. I asked a million questions and feel better about everything. Originally I wasn't going on BCP but, she thinks I should do it and it will help with timing my ER with DH's mTESE which has to happen b/t 9/3-9/19 so I'm going on the pill. She also thinks that I will have no problem responding to stims and is putting me on a low dose (she thinks I have the potential to be an over-responder). I will be doing PIO shots (when I asked if I was doing PIO shots or supp, she was like PIO, oh, progesterone in oil, and giggled, she's like I never say the initials). I told her all about my nesties and our abbreviations for everything and she was glad that I found a message board of such great women to talk to.

I am going back on metformin and while I am am extremely regular and O like clockwork, I definately have insulin resistance and she wants me to do a 2 hour glucose tolerance test. Since I came off the met, I have been steadily gaining weight (despite eating better and actually exercising) and obviously this is not a good thing. She also said my Vegas trip scheduled for 8/22 - 8/25 should not interfere with protocol and to go on vacation.

She told me not to stress and that everything she explained will be explained again at my injectibles class and if I still had questions to call her after the class. I'm also very lucky that she has a satellite office in Westchester which will make monitoring so much easier than driving into the city (I have to go into city for weekend monitoring and the ER, ET and mTESE).

So, please continue to pray for D and me, I'm hoping this IVF will bring us the baby(ies) we have been praying, hoping and dreaming about.
