Getting everything ready for IVF

So, today DH and I both had blood drawn in preparation for IVF. DH had to have a bunch of STD tests and I went in for a 2 hour Glucose Tolerance test. My test sucked and the glucose drink tasted link the sweetest, syrupiest flat orange soda ever. The best part, all the pregnant women hanging out with me having their 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Tests and being asked if I was pregnant, if they only knew.

I did the test b/c I have issues with my insulin levels and RE wants to check it out. Since stopping the Met I have gained 10-12lbs. The Met didn't help me loose any weight but at least I wasn't gaining. We'll see what the outcome is in a couple of days.

I also got a call from my RE today who said all the BW she did last week was normal and to go ahead and start the Met again. I am now taking the XR form of it and gradually getting up to 2000 mg's in a couple of weeks. I hope it helps.

DH and I spent all of last night going over the mTESE paperwork and signing off on things like if DH dies who gets the sperm. He then had to have that sheet notarized. SO many questions!
DH will also be doing an MRI prior to his mTESE as part of a study. They are seeing if MRI's help the Dr.'s performing the mTESE find sperm easier. This better mean we don't have to pay for it ;)

BTW, DH is watching Three Men and a Baby, what a weenie :) God, I love him. I sure hope he gets to be a daddy soon, he will be the best Dad EVER!
