I have no fucken clue what the answer is!
So, last Thursday, D got a letter from his MFI Dr. saying that he finally got to view the biopsy slide from the original uro. He said the slide was stored in a stange way and some of the tissues were distorted and that he would interpret the slide as "Sertoli Cell-Only in most areas."
He then goes on to say
"Sperm production can be further enhanced even in men who have predominant Sertoli Cell-Only pattern by moving the testes into the scrotom and fixing the slightly enlarged veins around the testicle. This could increase the chance of sperm retrieval although it is still likely that sperm retrieval surgery and IVF will be required in the future."
OK - we were all set to start and now this.
When I opened the letter I felt a sense of calm come over me. I have been praying for something to be fixed and I feel like this could be it. I know our chances are still zero that we would conceive naturally but anything is possible and this surgery could help D's sperm.
D is willing to do whatever it takes. We talked about these proceures and his recovery and when we think we may be ready to move forward and he wants to do the surgery if it will increase our chances.
On Friday morning I called the Dr. to figure out next steps and ask a million questions. I spoke to his nurse (he wasn't in), she is so great, and she let me email her our questions and said she would meet with Dr. S this morning and get the answers so we could make a decision.
Now, we sit and we wait. I'm getting more and more impatient as the day passes. I don't know what to do. Today is CD1 and I am supposed to call my IVF coordinator to tell her and then get told when to start the BCP. I'm supposed to have my injectibles class on Thursday and my meds need to be ordered. I'm supposed to do CD3 BW on Wed. for my Insurance Pre-Cert. I don't even know if we're doing IVF in Sept. anymore, D may be having surgery.
So, if you're reading this long, non-sensical post please pray I hear back from DH's Dr. asap and we can figure what we are doing.

Ciao Bella!
I have been checking often to see if you had updated. I know Dr. S will get back to you very soon. Plus, you still have time to talk, think, and decide (up until CD5 for BCP.)Trust your instincts and each other.
Praying for you and D!
Enza : )
(I'm always around if you want to talk!)
